Vibration & shock testing
15 different testing systems are available for completing vibration and shock testing. Our testing devices differ in their force vectors, amplitudes, and frequency ranges.
Both electro-dynamic, servo-hydraulic, and pneumatic testing systems are available in our laboratories for your mechanical testing.
Our testing systems allow us to cover a range between 0 and 3,000 Hz. The maximum amplitude is 4 inches; the maximum shock load is 1,500 g.
In addition to standard sine, random, and shock tests, we also complete sine-on-random and random-on-random tests.
We can test prototypes up to 1,000 kg total weight.

Temperature & climatic testing

Our climatic testing provides time-saving, inexpensive, and reproducible tests for ensuring your product is suitable in accordance with climatic and weather-related criteria.
We have a wide variety of climatic chambers that can simulate both extreme temperatures and humidity levels, fast temperature fluctuations, and condensation and icing.
One special feature of our laboratories is our universal equipment that allows us to complete tests on very small prototypes and tests on prototypes up to 2.9 m tall.

Salt spray corrosion test
We can use a variety of testing devices to inspect the corrosion-resistance of your prototypes. Our salt spray chests and cabinets can be used to complete both constant spray tests, cyclical tests, and tests involving thawing and drying.
Modern inspection methods are used to evaluate the resulting corrosion.

IP protection class testing
We test your prototypes for protection against water, foreign objects, and contact using IP protection class testing. Our laboratories can handle the entire range of protection class tests with solid objects from IP1X to IP6X. Water tests are completed for classes IPX1 up to and including testing with an IPX9K high-pressure steam sprayer.
Tests cover prototypes such as switch cabinets and switching systems up to 2.2 meters tall.

The burning heat of Arizona, or Germany’s milder conditions? It’s an important question, since products need to be tested in the most realistic conditions possible.
paconsult can irradiate your product with the entire spectrum of sunlight in our solar radiation testing system. This allows us to simulate corrosive and mechanical effects, for instance on plastics and coating systems.
Our testing systems stand out for their capability of simulating the rising or sinking sun.

We inspect the chemical resistance of materials and components in our laboratories.
A wide variety of testing techniques are available. Devices used in our testing range from simple temperature cabinets to constant climate cabinets for cyclically relocating materials. Testing techniques like spraying or misting are available for automated contact procedures involving reagents.

Leak tests, overpressure & vacuum pressure tests
paconsult offers a powerful pressure chamber for simulating requirements related to aerospace travel or shipping.
The chamber’s pressure range is 25 to 2,000 mbar, and it is capable of testing prototypes with an edge length of up to 600 mm. The pressure chamber has a pressure-tight cable opening which allows for tests on operating or monitored samples.

Tensile, compression, & bending tests
A 100 kN tensile and compression machine or testing system with 3 kN is available for tensile and compression tests.
The testing machines cover a path of travel of up to 1,000 mm, offering the maximum flexibility. We use the tensile and compression machines to test a wide variety of materials and test sample geometries from standard aluminum or steel tension rods to cable sections. We can also complete tests on sheet metal or entire housings using the machine.

Dynamic compression and tensile testing
An 0.3 ton tensile and compression testing machine is available for dynamic compression and tensile testing, among other equipment. The test machine has a path of travel of 400 mm. The maximum travel speed is 1 m/s with a maximum force of 3 kN.
A wide variety of materials and test sample geometries can be tested on the tensile and compression testing machine. The properties of foam components such as seat cushions or other flexible materials can be tested. We are also happy to configure a testing machine customized to your testing requirements upon request.
